So clearly consistency isn’t my strong suit. Ironically at work I have three words that I try to really focus on so that I don’t get too overwhelmed with how much we actually have to do. This year my words are: POSITIVITY. CONSISTENCY. DEVELOPMENT. Right now we’re one out of three. (I’m going to let you figure out which one that is.) I am not going to make any promises of getting better at blogging every week, as to not let you down or myself. But I’m going to promise to acknowledge when I’m lacking and celebrate small wins. ON WITH THE MOTIVATION POST.
I will admit I am a self-help junkie. From books to podcasts to TEDtalks, I want to know how to improve myself in all aspects of my life. Do I always (or even sometimes?) take their advice? No. And that’s cool. I think it’s really beneficial to see what works for others. Not everything is going to work for everyone. If that were true then someone would have already made a set agenda with strict everyday rules that would make us all millionaires and happy and healthy and tan and fit and thin and blahblahblah.
I’m not telling you this to down play all self-help information. Some of it is really great, such as the podcaster/ business woman/ overall badass that I’ve brought to you today. I just think that some people live religiously by the word of one person. If that works for your life, awesome; but others (like me) try to carve their own path with tips and tricks from others.
But we all have to learn how to do things from somewhere, right? So I turned to my trusted friend, THE INTERNET. Blogging is such an entirely differently world to me and I’m still trying to find my way as well as learning to create my own business. Thankfully I found JENNA KUTCHER.
Jenna is a blogger/business owner/podcaster that I found through her podcast, Goal Digger, this year. The one that really hooked me wasn’t necessarily one that was about business or blogging specifically (or even Pinterest) but was about her. I think it was an “ask me anything” type of show where we really got to know her. Very down to earth, but confident sounding at the same time. It made me want to listen more, find out what more she had going on besides the podcast. Find her here.
INSPIRING – Motivation
There are many things about her that are inspiring such has her motivation to help other girl bosses out there and the clean water efforts that her company has enacted, but if I were to go on and on about her this post would never end. So I’ll just leave it down to one point. The amount of other girl bosses that she has introduced me to via her podcast and being able to see them lift each other up. I have found many other authors and business owners and products/ services through her podcast than any other one that I listen to. She has a very keen eye on knowing other peoples strengths and highlighting those through her questions. One of the people that she had on her podcast was actually in my last inspiration post, which you can find here àhttps://simplymoore.blog/special-posts-inspiration-and-empowerment/
That seems like a very confident and smart way to educate others on things that even Jenna may not be a pro at. But because its all through her podcast, its in one handy little spot for you to listen to. This may seem like an advert for her but seriously I have learned so much from this podcast and I can’t wait to learn more.
I know these posts are on the shorter side but I don’t want to inundate you with information about someone else. What I want you to do is go research them yourselves! I want you to fall in love with them in your own way, not just through my eyes. Seriously!
Tell me down below if you listen to The Goal Digger podcast and what your biggest lesson from Jenna was.

Update: Wanted to add a picture of my horoscope from July 16th.
Good reminder to take time to focus on what drives me.
